The Swaziland elephant heist by US zoos

A couple of zoos in the US teamed up and pulled off a heist of elephants from the African country. The zoos in particular (Dallas zoo, Sedgwick county zoo in Kansas and Henry Doorly zoo in Nebraska) will be splitting the bounty amongst themselves.

The elephants (18 in number) were sedated, loaded into crates and shipped off in the middle of the night.

While details of heist is not really important, what is pertinent to note (and deliberate on) is the brazen manner of arbitrary action taken by these zoos. These guys basically stole those elephants for public display in the US.

The justification from the zoos was the need to protect these elephants from a drought which has been ravaging the area.

This is morally wrong!
